1. Overview
This policy explains how information is handled when you use Money Tracker and the OnWeeks website. Money Tracker is developed by Yevhenii Pavlenko, operating as OnWeeks ("we", "us" or "the developer").
We do not receive your financial records from the app or store them on a developer-operated backend. Money Tracker does not use an OnWeeks account system, advertising trackers or third-party analytics SDKs. Your records are stored on your device. iCloud synchronization is enabled by default and can be turned off; while enabled and available, it synchronizes app data through Apple as described below. Information you voluntarily send for support and technical requests to external services are explained below.
2. Your data in the app
Wallets, transactions, categories, goals, subscription records, tax calculations, preferences and other information you enter are stored in a local database in the app’s private storage on your device. The app uses that information to provide its features. It does not send those financial records to a server operated by the developer.
Financial entries and payment statuses in Money Tracker are personal bookkeeping records. The bookkeeping features do not submit those records to banks, payment processors, tax authorities or subscription providers to execute payments, file reports or manage services. The records can synchronize through iCloud as described below.
We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or build a marketing profile from your financial activity. Money Tracker does not require you to register an OnWeeks account.
3. iCloud synchronization and device backups
iCloud synchronization is enabled by default in Money Tracker. When iCloud is available to the app through your Apple Account and device settings, the app automatically transfers and synchronizes app data through Apple’s CloudKit service with the private database associated with your Apple Account. You do not need to turn synchronization on separately in the app.
CloudKit is used to keep a cloud copy of your app records, synchronize them between your compatible devices using the same Apple Account, and restore available cloud records after a reinstall or device change. Synchronization does not guarantee permanent retention or successful recovery.
To turn synchronization off, open Settings in Money Tracker and switch off “iCloud sync”. You can also manage the app’s access to iCloud in your device’s Apple Account and iCloud settings. With synchronization off, the app continues to save records locally and does not start new CloudKit record synchronization operations. An operation already in progress may finish. Turning synchronization on again allows local and iCloud data to synchronize again.
We do not operate this cloud storage or receive a separate developer-held copy of your financial records. Apple processes iCloud information under its own terms and privacy policy. Availability and data protection depend in part on your Apple Account, device settings and Apple’s services.
CloudKit synchronization and device backups are separate. Depending on your device settings, Apple’s iCloud Backup or a backup you make to a computer may include local app data. Turning off synchronization in Money Tracker does not turn off those backups or erase data already stored in iCloud or an existing backup. Manage iCloud storage and device backups separately through Apple’s settings and backup tools.
4. Exchange rates, external requests and offline use
For currency conversion, the app requests exchange-rate tables from external providers. Depending on provider availability, these may include ExchangeRate-API, currency-api services distributed through jsDelivr or Cloudflare Pages, and exchangerate.fun. These requests do not contain your wallet balances or transaction history.
Automatic exchange-rate updates are enabled by default. To turn updates off, open Settings → Exchange rates in Money Tracker and switch off “Automatic exchange rate updates”. An update already in progress may finish. With updates off, the app uses rates stored on your device, which you can edit manually. These rates are not automatically kept current until you turn updates on again.
After initial setup, you can use the app’s local record-keeping features without an internet connection. Turn off both iCloud sync and automatic exchange-rate updates if you do not want cloud synchronization or exchange-rate downloads. A new installation uses an internet connection for its initial startup checks. When a connection is available, the app may still contact a test page hosted by Apple to check connectivity, even with both settings off. This check does not include your financial records.
When the app requests exchange rates or checks connectivity, the receiving service can process technical information such as your IP address, request time and standard connection information. The service’s own privacy policy applies to its processing. Opening an external website or contacting support also uses the service you choose.
The App Store, Apple’s operating system, your email provider and Discord operate independently. Their own privacy terms apply when you use them. Following an external link does not give the developer access to your account with that service.
5. Notifications and permissions
If you allow notifications, Money Tracker uses the device’s notification system for reminders and app events. You can change this permission in iOS Settings. Notification content may appear on your lock screen depending on your device settings; choose preview settings that suit the sensitivity of your information.
Permission to show notifications does not authorize the developer to collect your financial records. The app does not use notification permission for advertising.
6. Information you send to support
If you email us or contact us on Discord, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address or Discord profile, message, screenshots and attachments. We use it to respond, investigate the issue and maintain the app. This is separate from automatic collection of app data.
Where the GDPR applies, we process general support correspondence on the basis of our legitimate interests in handling enquiries, investigating reported problems and, where necessary, resolving related disputes (Article 6(1)(f)). We use only the personal data reasonably needed for those purposes and do not rely on this basis where your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms override ours. Where processing is necessary to fulfil our contractual obligations to you, we rely on Article 6(1)(b). Where processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation under applicable EU or Member State law, we rely on Article 6(1)(c).
Please avoid sending passwords, full financial records or other sensitive information. Public Discord messages may be visible to other members. Use email for a private support conversation, and remove personal details from screenshots where possible.
We keep support correspondence only for as long as reasonably needed to handle your request and related follow-up, or to meet a legal obligation or resolve a dispute. You can ask us to delete it by email. Copies held by your email provider or Discord remain subject to their own retention policies.
7. This website
The OnWeeks website does not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers, account registration or contact forms. Fonts and visual assets are served with the website instead of being loaded from third-party font or analytics services.
When you open this website, its serving infrastructure processes the connection information needed to receive your request and deliver the page, including your IP address and the requested page. This does not send your financial records from Money Tracker to the website. This policy will be updated if the website introduces additional processing.
8. Retention, deletion and your choices
You control the financial information stored by Money Tracker. You can remove records through the app’s available data controls. Removing the app normally removes its local data, but copies in iCloud, device backups or files you saved separately may remain and need to be managed separately.
The developer cannot retrieve, edit or erase local records on your behalf and does not hold a central archive from which to restore them. Keep an independent record of information you cannot afford to lose.
Where privacy law applies to information you send us, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain that information, restrict or object to its processing, and complain to your local data-protection authority. Contact us to exercise an applicable right. Support information is used to handle your request, maintain the service and, where necessary, meet legal duties; it is not used for marketing.
9. Security and responsibility
No device, software, storage system or transmission method can be guaranteed to prevent every loss, disclosure or unauthorized access. Protect your device and Apple Account, use appropriate security settings and keep independent backups of important information.
To the extent allowed by applicable law, the developer does not accept liability for data loss, leakage, unauthorized access or disclosure caused by circumstances for which the developer is not legally responsible, including compromised devices or accounts and failures of independent third-party services. The limitations in the Terms of Use also apply where lawful.
This policy does not waive your statutory privacy rights, excuse a failure to meet a legal security obligation, or exclude liability that the law does not allow us to exclude. Any legally required incident notification or other response remains applicable.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app, website or applicable requirements change. The revision date appears at the top of this page. If a change requires notice or consent by law, we will provide that notice or obtain consent before applying the relevant change.
Third-party privacy information
Read the privacy information provided by Apple, Discord, Google (Gmail), ExchangeRate-API, jsDelivr and Cloudflare. The provider selected in the app’s exchange-rate settings may supply additional information.
Apple explains the distinction between synchronization and device backups, and how to manage backups, in its iCloud Backup guide.
